Following the visit to the paintshop the new coaching stock is pressed immediately into service.

Almost at the end of the 2009 season now. A piece of specialist stock was added to the roster in November. The railway commissioned it's own bicycle transporter.

Well that's about it for now. Not much has happened since January.

I went Digital last week, but with the prospect of a house move looming I haven't hooked it all up outside yet, but I have had a quick digi session on a test track in the house.

So what of the future?

Well, it will go one of two ways.

Either we'll move and I'll build a bigger, better SHLR in a larger garden (one of the conditions of the move - I ain't going to a smaller garden).

Or we'll stay put and I'll try to build a bigger, better SHLR in my existing Garden.

One thing that will change is the name. The SHLR will become the Shropshire Hills Light Railway, based around a fake history involving the closure of a standard gauge Shropshire railway, a Shropshire Brewery, and a well known Shropshire Sunday Market - ooh the suspense.

Anyhoo if I do have to pull it all up this weekend, I'll have a monster running session before it goes and pop some more piccies up on here next week.

Cheers all.

Hi Gareth
Sorry to hear that you our lifting your layout , are you still looking at staying in the Telford area ? If you stay put will Ellie let you have her boarder so you can plant your railway :laugh:Great set of pics by the way

Hey Richie,

Yes mate still looking to remain in the Madeley area if possible (cos it's like Posh Telford :laugh:), but also looking in Newport.

Interested in a place about 1/2 mile from the current house. Oldy worldy cottage with a large brick built workshop and a huuuuuge garden.

There have been a couple of silly offers made by another couple (both rejected), I'm hoping to get a sensible offer in on Tuesday, then we'll see how it goes from there. :nail::nail:

Great update Gareth, good luck with the offer hope you get the house.
