Following negotiations with a recent addition to the GWLR's board of directors a name change and additional funding for development has been agreed in principle.
The line will henceforth be known as the Battlefield and Chad Valley Railway.
Due to the current weather conditions the railway ran it's first train earlier than planned to supply the residents of Chad Valley with heating oil.

The train was routed unusually via the Easton Bank as less snow clearance was required than on it's normal circular route.

Intriguing news Colin! A land grab, or something even more exciting?

very nice to see train up and running:thumbup:

Ah , Chad Valley, the name evokes happy memories ! I always liked the B.P Critters too, I shall look forward to your developments :thumbup:

A bit of both Peter!
A fairly substantial land grab is planned to give the railway more 'elbow' room around Milburn station and the pond area. Additionally a replacement viaduct from Chad Valley station to just ahead of Uber junction is probably going to be double track.

Like the name Col. I thought that Chad Valley toys were long gone, but having done a search, I see they're still going.

Deb lives (temporarily hence the upcoming funding ) ) in a flat built in the former Chad Valley factory in Wellington

Great pic's Colin like the new name have a construction set in the loft made by Chad Valley i think it's from the 60's

No running possible at the moment due to wind and rain so I've had a play with the lighting on my Ice train prior to adding a drive unit to the dummy end.
Still have some light bleed but I'll sort that out when I fit the high intensity light.

Managed to test run the ICE train on the only section currently cleared for it today.
Must investigate putting overhead lines on this section some time!

Or just remove the pantographs, add some sort of roof top detail, and tell yourself it's a diesel.
