I'll see if I can get a close up of it tomorrow.

I saw it for real last night, and it does look really good JR....

My track clamps arrived in the post today  So I've done a little more with my indoor/portable layout.

I'm using Hillman Clamps.

The first thing that I did with the clamps was to cut one side in half. This enables me to leave the clamp attached to the rail whilst undoing the other end enabling me to separate the track and boards.

Here is the track all removed after the clamps have been fitted, track aligned and screwed down.

And Mike, There's still a lot that I want to do before I take it to shows. So I think I'll miss this year, but next year I'll definatley be there.

Now I need a name for the yard :thinking::thinking:

Nice work mate!

As it seems to have an American theme, then maybe a US name....

If we stood side by side we could have two good arms!!

Excellent idea for aligning the track joins, Steve - really looking forward to seeing this up and running!
How much scenery, buildings etc are you planning for it?
I guess a yard layout like this really lends itself to a backscene with some very low-relief industry, warehousing etc.

Jon.

A couple of Warehouses, one at each end. They'll both be low re-lief. but I'm gonna have a look at that tomorrow ;)
