Love the lever frame - one of the best uses of 3D printing I have seen.

Your railway is so picturesque with a brilliant attention to detail. Something to definitely aspire to for someone like me starting out with next-to-no modelling skills!

A Productive weekend for a change :)

Finally added the two spurs at the end of the Return loop at Buxus station they will feed an engine shed or (cunning plan) they just by accident line up with the narrow fence between the gate and boundary fence., and beyond that fence is a massive Garden :)

Train02 07-05-2018.jpg

Spent a few hours today working on the hidden Return Loop behind the garden shed today, as I had a part Roll of turf in the shed decided to use some of it to cover the support work on part of my track, so it will look like it's on an embankment when finished, just need to shave off the grass when the track sits and infill with ballast to get the look. The sun got the better of me didn't realize I was working in a sun trap and got burnt :( so didn't get it all finished As part of the rework the loop has now been eased with some straights added in, so trains run better now around it as well.

Train03 07-05-2018.jpg

Last few bits added to Calluna Signal Box finials , fire buckets and Stove pipe, started working on the road but too hot to lay tarmac :rofl: so only got half the Road built.

I just found this thread today and I've spent the last 30 minutes or so reading through it. This looks amazing! At some point I'd loe to do this, but I'd need building permission from a whole committee...

At one end of my line is a raised flat area ideal for loading trains onto the track but it's boring :)

train01 13-05-2018.jpg

So this weekend I demolished it and turned it into a rocky area , Bridge is temporary , now I have to build a Bridge or a viaduct :) then it will feed a removable section across the gates and on to another Rocky area and run under the office window so I could just lean out the window and load a train when it's finished

The Big green bush got a stay of execution today, but no sure about it yet it might be for the chop.... the wall along the fence needs a capping stone to finished it.

Micro-switches and a gapped-rail needed.. Well back from the gate / removable section!

Do it whilst you are still building, else it won't get done..

I assume you mean so I don't run it off the end of the track when the lift out bit is missing  SWMBO has suggested a double lift up bridge, which when you pivot them up they would then form a barrier to stop trains running off the end of the track. Probably not very typical way for a railway bridge but it would be easy to open and close when need be, just a lot of work , will probably have to draw one up and think about it, can't think of a UK railway that has a bridge like London bridge :)

You would need a drop-down leg to support the join to support a 'double lift-up..
Lift one-way, or removable will be easier to build and maintain. - Keeping things aligned is also easier, the less places that need aligning there are!

My removable 'bridge' isn't properly finished, as it's only made with scrap plywood, but I definitely agree with Phil. I like that mine is removable because it allowed me to use cheaper materials to construct it (plywood instead of a more weather-proof material).
