This came in a job lot of mainly LGB track and I don't have the luxury of being able to make use of space needed for it. I have no idea of the radius, the only markings underneath say Tenmille, but the straight rail measures 63.5cm or 21". It appears solid with a bit of darkening on the rail. No fishplates.

I have nothing to compare it to and don't know how Tenmille costs compare with LGB so my price might be way out. How about £27.50 including courier shipping within the UK?

Update: See the forum members' thoughts below and a rough calculation has given a radius of about 7 foot.

I reckon this is a bespoke order, as Tenmille don't make points in G scale (code 332). They do make points in G1 though, so if the rail height is different to your LGB track, then I would think it might be one of those.

Tenmille are just down the road from where I work in Suffolk and their track is often used by Model Engineer Clubs. I know the Ipswich model Engineers use it on their layout.

Here's a linky to their website; you could give them a call and see if they can advise on the radius....

They did make a range of parts for self-assembled pointwork for G Scale - I'd assumed it was code 332, but never indulged.

I could almost be tempted by this point ............... if I had somewhere to put it :oops:

They don't seem to do so these days, although I did have them build a bespoke R1 Y point for me many years ago.

However, it did not have an insulated/isolated frog, so I had to cut the rails so it could be used on my then DC layout.

I eventually sold it on.

Their rail is code 332, but the foot is narrower than other makes, so you either buy their adaptor joiner, or as Neil did, file down the web on the adjoining track and use rail clamps instead.

And like you Chugs, I'm tempted, but where could I use it.... :oops:
 
Thanks for the information fellas. The rail's profile is definitely different to LGB and the rail height is a tiny bit higher.

One would need to get a Micrometer to test the actual rail size but what is pushing it up a little tad is the plastic below the 10mm point chair. Those 10mm chairs are a push in to the sleeper if my memory is correct. Clearly the web is different as well being deeper than the 10mm stuff. But I recokon the profile would be within a thou or three comparable.

There is a difference Jon. I used some on my sidings and had to file a short slope to make the two match. Wasn't a problem for me as any traffic would be very slow moving. I sold a large quantity not long ago, but can't remember who bought it.
