Straightening LGB R3 Turnout?

I received the attached as part of a large order some time ago. As I hope can be seen, the 'straight' rail is not. Since everything else appeared to be OK and trains ran over the turnout without any problem, I decided to live with it. However I am currently considering some modifications and this turnout always produced a slightly problematic alignment.

Has anybody else has similar experience? Any suggestions for straightening?

I would take the longer (right hand) rail out from the sleeper web and straighten the end bit in a Workmate.

When refitted, it should bring the other side into line....

You could bend it even more and make a wye

Gizzy's idea would proabably work as you will be straightening the one bit that is not too related to the other parts and would then not affect other 'non' bent alignments within the point.

Point of information having made up many Scaleway "00" point kits in the past, badly I would say, the rail you refer to is I believe called the "stock" rail.

If it is gauge then maybe a small realignment section just after it may work (if it ain't broke why try to fix it?).
Personally I work on the KISS principle and would do just that.
If you must straighten it, I would put it through a rail bender to straighten the stock rail and hope that rest stays in gauge when you re assemble it.
Have you considered putting in a section where alignment is not critical?

Thank you all for your thoughts.

The curved rail is actually 'kinked' in a few places notably at the switch toes, so I have decided not to risk a fix that may leave a gap and derailments etc.

I do have one other LH turnout so have swapped them which has eased the problem in the more critical area.
