I am looking for a static model of the Tayllyn's Dolgoch in the latest red livery for display. The Accucraft model is beautiful but is spoiled by thr
steam apparatus in the cab etc.
Any suggestions welcomed,

Hm tricky question, only option is to scratch build one or get the Accy one and remove the offending bits, as these are all screw fit that would be a simple task. But an expensive option for just a shelf queen.

Approx G scale please, needs to be a good replica.

Other than the live steam ones to the best of my knowledge no G Scale ones have been made. Oh and G is not really a scale if you look at some of the discussions in here. I assume you mean sits on 45mm track with a siutable fine scale to match the track gauge. Now you are certainly into the realms of looking for Rocking Horse Dodah as there is not a supplier so unless you dropped on a scratch built one at an auction you are unlikely to have any luck. Sorry to be so direct, but it needs to be said as it is. Compromise is a meal that sometimes is sweater than first expected.

Agree with Dunnyrail and others. Apart from getting one 3D printed - a REAL possibility that I can ask about here and on the 16mm FB pages [I will], you are left with scratch-building from somebody like Mike the engine builder - looking at maybe a couple of REALLY big ones for it in that case. Buying the Accucraft model and taking out the offending bit, as Dunnyrail suggests, is also no cheap - £1500+ for the loco at the moment.

Well, since we haven't heard a dicky from you since you first posted, I'm taking the liberty of copying your request up on the 3D printing page.

However, the late and much-missed Peter Farley of PDF Models made this kit of Talyllyn - would THAST do?



You could colour it in to suit your taste. Right now, with Peter's recent and untimely death causing an unsurprising hiatus in things, it is not available, but we are all hoping that his lady can get things back on track soon.
