A new track layout I want to run a continuous railcar recently acquired round the revers loop and back into the Rail shed where there is a loop also. This alteration removing a double slip will allow continuous running on the two main tracks as well as the branch when I am feeling lazy. ( go on say it which is most of the time )

Varnish, lots of external quality clear varnish in gloss, satin and matt, also enamel and acrylic. They come in brush on and spray on, though I would consider spraying is the base colour is not waterproof, lots of light coats.

Well i have sprayed the surface of the Platform with mat clear varnish we will see how it weathers.
The next part of the project is a roadway with a pavment and parking may be a wall also, i was going to make to road out of soffet board and the pavment out of 5mm foam board stuck onto it what do peopl use for road serface eithera covering or a paint effect? Any advice would be welcome thanks.

I tend to use concrete painted with external grade concrete paint. Initially black it weathers down nicely after a season or so.

I tried Concrete on the station Platform but after 2 years it cracked on my admitedlysoft made up ground even with reinforcing, so i thought of going down the plastic soffet board route I guess i could try masonary paint on it but it tends to come in large tines. the other option may be sand in a paint mix we used to do that on boat decks thinking about it????

Get match pots.

Well this is the attempt at a new roadway to the Brewery old roofing felt stuck down with felt adhesive so will see how it survives as it’s for outdoor shed roofs I have great hopes. I just need to discover a good grey paint to repaint the platform as the lovely stone effect paint I got last year did not stick and pealed off in places before the summer was over.
That is not the shadow of the Taj Mahal its my head and me holding my ipad to take the pic lol
