SOUTH TYNEDALE RAILWAY - ALSTON

We last visited the Railway more than 10 years ago. A lot has changed since then. The loco in steam for our visit was a Polish Tender Locomotive. The coaches were also Eoropean.

Yes it is. Like you it wasn't there when we last visited over 10 years ago.

Though it did have one in BR days as well. Alston Station and sute is a lucky escape from being built over by shopping or housing.

Looks like I was there in October 2015, so just over ten years ago.

I have manged to find some photos of my visit in June 2012. It looks like I only got as far as Lintley Halt as the extension to the current Terminus at Slaggyford had yet to be completed.
