Something Like A Ruston

My last few posts have been all about disposing of my LGB and moving on to O gauge. Whilst digging in my lockup I came across a new replacement power bogie. I think it was from an Accucraft loco that I ordered in for a repair and the loco never turned up! I think the power bogie was from a American GP35 or something similar. I removed the sprung outside frames (anybody need them?) and revealed an excellent power bogie complete with a degree of unsprung compensation. I'm not on to pass up an opportunity so 2 sheets of 60 thou plastikard later gets me a passable version of a Ruston DS48 regauged for 2' gauge......I think. Now I need to find some bits to make it look real. Is there a good source of body parts anywhere please?

Now the burning question will be do I sell it when finished or just keep a little bit of G Scale.

Garden Railway Specialists do a whitemetal diesel detailing pack (DG184) and some chassis parts (DG186) and Cambrian do various plastic details for diesels (eg louvres).
