Well I got a bit bored yesterday so had a look in the shed for something to do and found a kit or two and decided on this one. Can anybody guess what it is?

I guess it's a BR 20T Brakevan? (Caboose in US parlance....)

I once made a pair of duckets for one of those!

Full size ones!!! :nail:

It's a British sports car - you can tell because half of the sills have rotted away

It's a WD brake van from 1917 These were transfered over to the LNWR, LSWR, GER, and lots of others after the great war.
This is a gauge one model from The Waggon and Carriage Works.
Still a bit more to do yet though. I have discovered that the W irons supplied are not going to work! the instructions say to "thin" them out a bit but I will have to Thin them to nothing to get them in the frame! Maybe I'll try some different Irons?
It don't look too pretty at the moment but it needs a good scrub and scotchbrite to remove the flux and solder residue.

Thanks mate! looking at the photo's it's in need of some tail lamps I'll have to find a source for gauge one detail parts? I still have two kits left another van and a loco kit I think I'll do the van and then tackle the Loco seems to be a lot more to the loco so practice makes perfect!!

Looks superb Paul.

I was going to suggest GRS fr bits, but I think they only do G3 and 16mm etc.

Have a look at http://www.g1mra.com/?page_id=150 M
