All railways look good in the dark , i suspect judging by the stock you have bought Mr Parberry that your line will be outstanding .

Oh Yes I think we all fall into that one:rolf::rolf:... why only last sunday i told a trader that all railway funds were going into civil engineering this year, only to buy two wagons ten minutes later:thumbup:

Lovely! I hope to add lights to my railcar too! I've got a trailer car in the same red colour I'm not using. I'd be happy to sell it on to help fund other project this year, send me a PM if you're interested :)

Problem with slow speed in low light is that you are up against the noise creation of the sensor. A smaller aperture gives good depth of focus but also brings the problem again of even less light getting to the sensor. Then what happens is that any light source (such as the lights in a coach or building or loco headlights etc will burn out or maybe 'flare' in the lens.
Of course if you have a really good DSLR or even a high end compact with manual controls, then these issues can be overcome together with a little work in Photoshop.

Having said that I think the photos look very good Steve...nicely atmospheric....nice one!
