Simple analog controller wanted

Anyone got A plain, simple, analog controller, output at 5amps or more, suitable for Aristocraft locomotives that they no longer have a need for?
Good money waiting!

The LGB 10 in the square casing is only 2.5 amp, the 5 amp is a rectangular casing. Don't ask how I know :(

Put one of these on the output of a DC or AC power supply.
You'll need to ad a DPDT switch on the output for reversing and add a more accessible knob to the voltage adjustment pot.

I have often wondered how much 'wear' there is in a miniature pot.
(I assumed they were designed just for occasional adjustments.)
Do you think this one would cope with regular use as a locomotive throttle?

The lgb 10 was bought because i blew 2x starter set lgb 1 amp controllers and need more power. It runs an lgb 2 motor block loco and fully lit coaches about 4 units in a train no problem. i'll check if square or rectangular...

Good point.
Before I found this unit on the net I made over half a dozen controllers of this type and I've always used a good quality pot.
I posted this as I could no longer purchase the components cheaper than this ready made unit, but I haven't bought one myself.
The pot on the unit is probably a multi turn one, replacing this wouldn't be difficult and still easier and cheaper than building an example from individual components.
