Silly prices on ebay

Has anyone else noticed the ludicrously high prices being asked for many G Scale items on German ebay?
eg £56+ for an LGB re-railer, £150 for high sided wagons, £400+ for a bog standard Piko building kit etc. It isn't just that there a few typos there are dozens of them.

Yep I've seem them, I thinks it's an auto listing program that gets the rrp and then adds a random number and them lists on on eBay!

What makes you think its just on German Ebay? Its all over the US Ebay like a rash.

The point of the exercise it would seem is exactly the same strategy that tele marketers employ. If you spread your hubris far enough some one will take the bait and but your product.... You only need to sell one.... and there is one born every minute....

The TV ads used to say "Not Available in the Shops ....". In this case, most objects clearly are, but strangely some people don´t want to look. You´re not "winning an auction" if you press the "buy it now" button, but people obviously get some kind of buzz. Wonder whether they actually use what they buy.

a lot of the 1 20,3 accucraft stock listed is very very expensive,, and the spectrum stock too
