O very nice ..more please

Hello Mike,
You can have it, I reduced some pictures last night so I can show you something new.
Here are some cars I build for a friend in south of Germany.032_30a.jpg 033_31.JPG 035_33a.jpg 037_35.JPG DSC00208aa.jpg DSC00209a.jpg WALT033_31.jpg WALT036_34.jpgThese are longer cars made of two to match the original length. The last car is a fully detailed President Car with complete Interior and real carpets, kitchen, sleeping room, and all what was necessary in those times. The other is a post office on rails with fully interior. Surely interior lighting. By the way the rails are code 200 and all hand lad on mahogany ties so were the switches. LGB track was too expensive for more than 250 meters of track.
There is a prototype for everything!
More to come, stay tuned.
Kurt

Thanks Kurt. Look forward to seeing more

They look great and the finer track is good too.

Great work . Looks great. Do you have any more pictures of the stanz you converted to American style? I'm curious

Nice work. The interior of the President car would be nice to see if you have a photo. I like the attention to details. The buildings are very cool too.

Are those stock cars behind the mail car?

Hello seigezapf, yes they are, like most of my equipment shorties apr. 32 cm long and with 4 working doors

More pictures to come

Hello Jack44,
the stainz is from 1982 and my first conversion in this scale. Since then there were havy reworkings in both style and control. She had all kinds of command control,
Hornby, Maerklin, Uhlenbrock and so on, we used her to test several fetchers including remote uncupling, loading the battery by driving, light change and steam.
The tender shell is modified and sits on a wood car in appropriate length to match the air tank, two trucks with home poured side frames equalised with springs and 24" wheels made especially for me. The cab is completely wood with real glass windows, opening doors and sliding windows on both sides. It was not easy to saw 0,3mm in 1x1mm wood but it worked with microscope slides. As I said she was reworked several times and now she looks more Baldwin like. The forward trailing truck has 20" wheels made for me too. If you want I will take better pictures in the future this is what I have on hand.

Wow I love it. Turned out really cool. Thanks for sharing. I want to try something like this sometime. I'm fairly new to this site but one thing I've learned from everyone is we love pictures . A video of it running would be great too. Regards Jack

Second part of some more scratch building

I think the pictures are self explaining, the drive is Playmobil, wheels are turned for me and the side frames are lengthened 3mm to match the axles.
The super structure is plywood with coffee stierers. It is the car of a rolling blacksmith. Next comes the Blacksmith Car.

Makes mine look rather simple and lacking in clutter :think::think::think:

Wow. That is some of the finest construction and detailing I have ever seen right up there with the best. Thanks for sharing. Makes me strive to get to that point with my modeling. Inspiring...
