Sachsen Train

Thought you might like to see a little Sachsen train running this morning;

OOPS, Sorry I am not allowed to post a link to the video.. ( I am not in the right club )

Enjoy.

I was going to send Stainzmeister a pm with the link but I am no longer allowed to do that either.

So I must have been bad and upset some one as I seem to be banned from doing things here.. Never mind i will stick with MLS.

Is it because I don't run LGB ?

I think, but I'm not sure and I haven't been able to find anything on the site as yet, that you need a minimum number of posts before you can post photos and links. This is to try and prevent spammers joining the forum and being able to post spam posts.

Yes, I'm in the doghouse too! Can't post pictures or links, can't PM. What's the point of joining this forum?
Well rather than getting all sarky, you could try asking for advice on a section of the forum that has been specifically set up for such problems. That way you may find out that it's all down to your computer's settings rather than a problem with the forum?

There's nothing wrong with my computer or the link I was trying to post.
Another member of this forum was recently bemoaning the lack of activity and postings on here.
Well, I wonder why?

There have certainly been issues with posting links and photos recently, and these maybe shouldn't be ruled out in Gardenbahner's problems. Moreover, if Gardenbahner is posting using the Quick Reply box, it doesn't seem possible to attach pictures with that method.

I've followed Whatlep's instructions with this post and attached a picture, but I've used easier systems on other forums, but whatever the method, members getting snappy with each other doesn't help solve a problem.

No Mel I can't agree. The reason why people can't post is that the forum rules have been changed without notice

The admin has set up some restrictions to prevent link (URL) SPAM.
All links inserted into messages, signatures, and PM's are removed unless you have ...

been a member for at least 28 day(s);
made a total of 5 post(s);
earned at least 10 point(s) for post scores (based on the ratings on your posts);
earned at least 0 reward point(s);

It is quite ridiculous and embarassing that one of the most experienced professional GScalers in the world can't post because the GSC forum rules rely on nonsense alogorithms. How can Rod's many generous and helpful postings over many years be rated as scoring 4 points?

For that matter how can my 118 posts and 5278 reward points over a similar period of years rate a negative score?

So there's no chance that the "forum themes" box at the top right of your screen is set to "mobile" then? If it is, try changing it to "original" and you may find that you can post pics.
I can't see a "forum themes" box top right. Does that mean it's set to "original"?

Well I don't really know if you can't see it. Do you have a similar box at the bottom of the page?

Not that I can see.

If it's not at the top right, it should be bottom right as Bruce said.

There may be a little "oddness", or my lack of understanding occuring as I don't believe I have sufficient post score (stands at 8) to post pictures but have done so today, apparently successfully - as in I can see the pictures even though I can also see the box "The admin has set up some restrictions to prevent link (URL) SPAM. "

Is it that I created the thread before the restriction so can add to it but not create a new one?
EDIT - Ahh.. but I see it's removed the link I added to the thread when I posted.

I'm a simpleton when it comes to computers and programming. The "Scores" thing I haven't really noticed until now. But this doesn't appear on all sections of the forum (or is it underlying when not specifically displayed in your details?).

To me, things seem to get more complicated every week. How can WKDOR have minus two in his scores?

Yes, we now have a 'reportage' system but I think it should be retitled "Report Forum Problems Here" - i.e. a new thread.

More 'Forum Help' solutions should be pinned as specific problems reoccur regularly - not, I hasten to add, always due to any fault of the Forum set-up!

I, for one, get fed up of the rhetoric which condemns the poster who might, in an attempt to dilute his/her frustation temper the posting with a little humour/sarcasm.

I can always remember the school playground 'intelligensier' saying "Sarcasm is the lowest form of wit" - to which the answer (from the berated) was "And wit is the highest form of intelligence".

I also feel there is an air of assumed 'superiority' from some posters. Or, indeed, a brevity of explanation from the owner of this otherwise excellent site as well!

We are not all aux fait with technology, or the reasons for supposed shortcomings of this site, so some understanding of where a person is coming from should be considered.

There, I've said my piece. If I'm ex-communicated for it, so be it!

:thumbup: cracking vedio. line looks fantastic great loco too!!

How in the wide world of sports did you manage to elicit a negative Scores number while at the same time getting over 5K Reward points????

That just does NOT compute. :timeout:

Nice layout BTW I especially like the White Pass trestle, but it may be time to trim as that branch at about :15 looked like it wanted to derail those cars
