You've just got to cross that bridge with the railway - screw it down to the planks, so it stays put !
Go on, you know you want to.
If I had a stream in my garden, there would be at least two bridges over it - the voices can't be ignored.:bigsmile:
SWMBO says no. :crying:

She means it. :nail:

Well then, since she says you can't cross on that bridge...................................................

Plenty of contenders for positions in the RRN on this board, starting with Tag....

Good to see that you are semi up and running outside Peter, glad the problems were fairly easily correctable (although as for publicising that Mrs Whatlep solved bridge location problems by application of her weight, I hope she doesn't read the board....:-).

Now, my current problem has similarities from a different source. Yesterday's heat caused cracks in the ground (which is highly reactive clay), two support post moved apart and they have sprung the baseboards between them. Hm.

Now THAT could work!! Call in the Ruritanian Navy.:thumbup:

Ruritania has never been truly comfortable with the idea of a navy since Prince Rudolf's great-grandfather's time as Admiral of the Fleet....

Looks like it was tided up to tight to the wharf when the flash flood wet through

Ah, is that the fated Ruritanian steam submarine people speak of?

(Glad to read the effects of the recent weather not too serious on the railways.)

Good to see an update, and to see the line survived again, and your indoor retreat is a lovely extravagance that I wish I could have - maybe one day!

You'll have a train cave one day James. Just wait till your Princess reaches her teens..... :@

Ruritanian Railways is delighted to announce the appearance of a Christmas present from our most generous benefactor, Rudolf (Prince, not reindeer). His Royal Highness stated that this locomotive, which arrived shortly before the festive season from Holland, is a totem of our country: small, yet exquisite.

The locomotive has yet to be adjusted to Ruritanian Railways standards, but will soon appear DCC-fitted and without the hideous pickup skates. A Massoth power buffer will also be fitted, as is now standard for small locos.

It is understood that Ruritanian Railways expects to make a further announcement concerning the use of other locomotives of this type in the New Year. Those with long memories - or too much time on their hands - may recall a previous debate around this topic early in 2012.

A fine addition to the roster. :D

The LGB has a similar lok with Massoth sound, button 3 gives 3 short toots on the whistle, makes me smile every time.

Is that the 23211 version? Prince Rudolf would like one of those too, but the only place our procurement manager can find with one is asking 260 Euros. A bit steep for Ruritania's budget, even MTS fitted.

The Hauptbahnhofmeister has the 27211 model too
A late winner for the "least surprising statement of 2012" competition!
Watch this space for Ruritanian Stainz developments.....

A very smart addition. Look forward to seeing more of it. Prince Rudolf is to be congratulated on his mechanical knowledge and generosity.
