Good to see that you are semi up and running outside Peter, glad the problems were fairly easily correctable (although as for publicising that Mrs Whatlep solved bridge location problems by application of her weight, I hope she doesn't read the board.....

Now, my current problem has similarities from a different source. Yesterday's heat caused cracks in the ground (which is highly reactive clay), two support post moved apart and they have sprung the baseboards between them. Hm.

Ruritanian Railways is delighted to announce the appearance of a Christmas present from our most generous benefactor, Rudolf (Prince, not reindeer). His Royal Highness stated that this locomotive, which arrived shortly before the festive season from Holland, is a totem of our country: small, yet exquisite.

The locomotive has yet to be adjusted to Ruritanian Railways standards, but will soon appear DCC-fitted and without the hideous pickup skates. A Massoth power buffer will also be fitted, as is now standard for small locos.

It is understood that Ruritanian Railways expects to make a further announcement concerning the use of other locomotives of this type in the New Year. Those with long memories - or too much time on their hands - may recall a previous debate around this topic early in 2012.

A fine addition to the roster.

The LGB has a similar lok with Massoth sound, button 3 gives 3 short toots on the whistle, makes me smile every time.

Is that the 23211 version? Prince Rudolf would like one of those too, but the only place our procurement manager can find with one is asking 260 Euros. A bit steep for Ruritania's budget, even MTS fitted.
