Running a live steam Big Boy in your garden

I had my Big Boy out today.
Although I have owned this gas fired Aster monster for some years I still marvel on the skills of the Japanese makers on the quality of both design and engineering abilities.

I can`t remember it ever failing although I admit it is not a model you run too often.
By the time you have prepared it and carried it to your track together with sufficient rolling stock plus checking for line side buildings that Big boy`s have a tendency to destroy (see line side workman`s hut in video) it`s really time for a sit down!

The Aster works plate in the cab indicates No 3 of a batch of 75 and dated 1986
A model to treasure I would think!

Fabulous! I did not know that Aster had ever made a Big Boy. Worth the effort of getting the train set up (and so you could use the line about 'having your Big Boy out today)
