How do people attach the circuit board to loco? Mine is currently dangling. Can I attach it using blu-tack?

Is the DCC board specific to a loco or generic? Will my DCC board fit into any other loco?

I use Velcro, or I try and secure with a screw to the plastic part of the chassis.

Some use 'white tack' which is a more permanent version of blu-tack but still easy to remove.

Some LGB DCC decoders are used in other locos. Does it have a part number with 55021, 55022 or similar? This will assist in identifying what you have fitted....

You can use a double-sided sticky pad to hold the 'sleeve' you have popped the receiver into..

The DCC board (decoder) would probably fit any of the smaller LGB loco's (especially the diesels).. - I believe it will be the LGB small on-board decoder..
How easy it would be to fit, without recourse to a soldering iron, is another matter.

Can I put the Deltang board inside the hood?

One disadvantage is that then I won't be able to see the LED flashing.

I have also noticed that Tx21 range is not that great. It can't control if I move to upstairs. The Playmobil 5258 is controllable from that distance. Not a big problem though. Also, I always have to switch on the transmitter first and then receiver - otherwise it doesn't work. Again in Playmobil, the sequence does not matter.

Today I picked up my eight year old Cricceth Castle locomotive from Roundhouse. It had been in for repair after some very poor running.
The loco required four new axles and new gears. The radio control system was also changed from 40Mhz to 2.4Ghz and a flywheel added to the motor.
I was extremely pleased with the service from the staff at Roundhouse.

How come it had 4 axles? I thought 3 axles for 6 wheels!
Did they did it for free or charge you?
I thought Roundhouse locos last lifetime but appears that it is not the case then.

Axle for jack shaft as well. Loco has been run almost every weekend for the last eight years. Fair wear and tear in my opinion. Repair charges were very reasonable. I'm a very satisfied customer.
