Looking to find some scale rivets so what do you use and where can we get them from..............
Dont mind wither there brass or on a strip as someone on here has used ??

count them out of the packet....count them onto the model...count them when painted......rivetting stuff

Seriously....... plastic jobbies look the business when painted and are relatively cheap. I use Hartford Products white metal ones when I can get them. Steve at Back2bay6 usually has some in.

Something I use bashing Hartland ore cars to represent a metal bar/strip with rivets as a simulated repair job in a run down repair shop....narrow strip of thin plasticard, hit every milimetre or so with a punch, I use a biro point,then glue strip on and paint over.

The Cambrian ones are great value. I've used the resin ones by Archer that are on a transfer backing. It allows you to add a straight line very easily and quickly with perfect spacing if you get the right set. I used ones designed for 7mm bridges I think - on my LGB Frank S bash.

Depends what you want the rivets for; for purposes of being counted then the fake ones fit the bill exactly... recently I wanted some real ones to hold a bumper bar on (while the superglue got its act together) and I used small brass escutcheon pins pushed them through predrilled just undersize holes and applied the wick in superglue and Violoncello!!!!!! I paid $7 for about a 1000...... AND I just discovered another ripper of a use for these, to make door knobs (or any knob) thread one through a small glass bead (colour of your choice) and then push into place....

I punch mine in thin styrene cladding and then stick that to the surface. Easy peasy, mind you, pay close attention to the marking

Home made drop punch, the higher you lift the hammer, the bigger the rivet. Dropping from the same height everry time ensures consistent size. You could use this for making detail strips.

I cut the heads of cheapy dressmakers pins (cheapy ones are very easy to cut) leaving a couple of mil on the shank on each pin then superglue them into pre-drilled holes.
