OK not really one for the serious G-Scalers, but I thought some of you might enjoy this afternoons garage project. Well it's one way to involve the family...

Good fun, we built the ride on wagon together in the garage

Oustanding! "Again, again, again"

You may need a few more Alcos to get Mel and me moving so smoothly. Oh and that low bit of trellis will need a large semi-circle carving in it!

I know what have I started, they want to get round the whole garden now! Mmmm more Alcos? I could be to Alcos to what you are to Mallets? I like...

How about two UP Big Boys?

I was mmore impressed with the coupling strength rather than the pulling power.

I'm sure the next challenge will be to pull a person up the pootank pass eh Peter?

Now THAT I'd like to see!! I'd eat my shoes if I saw that.

I am prepared to offer my services as the load. Should be a decent test of traction. To reduce weight I am willing to remove my wallet before boarding.

If you had a remote handset like a Train Engineer or a Navigator, your lad could drive himself....

I actually have a mts unit that controls the lgb power unit (still analogue of that makes sense) so we could do that mmmm. I like it, shame I'm 18 stone!

That's fantastic! Don't tell the 'elf and safety nannies though..... ;)

Getting technical for a moment: how are the trucks fixed underneath the "seat car" - can they float enough to cope with slight variations between the spacing of the two tracks, or can you only run where the track spacing is exact?

Brilliant idea, and huge fun!

I did suggest your son could drive himself and not you Ian!

The track should take the load of an 18 stone man (I walk on my rails though I am only 12 stones), but I'm not sure about the wheels and chassis of the average G scale bogie wagon....
