I received an LGB Works Tram yesterday from Rhuddlan Models ( Nr Rhyl North Wales) only cost me just over £100 which compared with what I Paid for some other LGB Trams last week was a real bargain! In excellent condition for a 14 year old model, no sign of wheel or skid wear.

The shop is also an eBay Shop as Rhuddlan-Models and that is what I used for the purchase. Rhuddlan is relatively close to us but the postage cost was less than the petrol cost and the way the A55 can be these days well`nuff said :D

Anyway it has now had its decoder fitted and has been tested runs fine. all i have to do now is get some more track laid.009.JPG010.JPG011.JPG

You did well there Steve. I paid quite a bit more for my one of these some 5 years ago. Mine was a Direct Decoder one. When I fitted the Decoder it just fizzed so there must be something wrong in the circuitry somewhere. If I get round to putting a Decoder in I will hard wire it, removing all the old LGB Circuitry.

You will now need to keep an eye open fir tha Wagon that goes with it.

I have done a few trams with direct decoders its about a 15min job when you have done the 1st one.

The fizzling you mention occured with one of mine,,,, I hade forgotton to set the 4 dip switches on the PCB to 'OFF'

When I did that everything was fine.

I am not really too concerend about the Tower wagon which accompanied this tram originally;

Should anyone be looking for one there are 2 on GRS 2nd hand list one with the tower wagon £399 and one without £249

On the basis of your last sentence You did really, really well!

Correct..............I bought some last week from GRS also at their s/H prices which were describable as new, never run as per my other thread in this section, and although those were more expensive, given the current listed prices at discount of new LGB tram releasesI was quite happy with those purchases also.
Rhuddlan Models does not get a lot of G scale to sell but occasionally there is the bargain ( A New york street car Sound digital went for under £300 last week!)
