Resurrect or replace LGB MTS 2?

The short answer in "not any more". Massoth (who made it for LGB) used to offer a "P upgrade" but this service was withdrawn a while back. Likewise they withdrew their repair facility for them also.
 
You do still see 'P' enabled MTS equipment for sale secondhand, but it does seem to be becoming less common.

I assume you are aware, all parts have to be 'P' to work parallel.
