I havn't built a new kit in years but I am redoing some from over the years and I now use a product called liquid nails which is a construction adhesive and works very well as it seems to stay a bit flexible..................

The normal glues tend to fall apart after a few years outside. I use the glue made for sticking plastic pipes together & then reinforce the joints with a hot glue gun.

Unfortunately I put the roof on the last building upside down & it has to stay like that. It doesn't notice but I know it's wrong!
