Rebuilding my Railway

You say that but I've left a Piko BR 80 in the shed over night.. I'll take it apart before running it to check it over. I'm going to put a lot of baby conifers in the middle along with putting the pond back. Here is the plan I had in my head which will inevitably not work :D Although I will more then likely need R2 points for them two sidings as I can see trains catching the fence..

Suggest that you put some kind of hard standing to be able to get to the tunnel and points, perhaps a small Paving Slab with a Building to disguise it between the Conifers. They will grow you know! Plus inevitably you will need regular access to the points and tunnel if only for Track Cleaning.

Finally got chance to do some more work! The new girlfriend has limited my time to get on.. goodbye to the money I was saving for a Nicki & Frank S n'all.. also there is a slight loading gauge issue, as you can see in the third image the carriage just nearly catches the rocks, any locos or wagons that will cause problems?

Wish I'd got a photo of how it looks currently but the ponds in place.. and there is only about 6ft of track base that needs laying and its done, not sure about the tunnel idea I'll post a picture of it later not sure if it'll look out of place, here is the SVR Mallet out and about..

I've decided to take out all the salt work and replace it with bricks, a lot easier to do (I cut myself a dozen times on that slate wall!) Also made the embankment less steep, meaning less gravel should roll off, I'm going to buy a bunch of conifers tomorrow! And yes.. the latest and last addition to my fleet a Nicki & Frank S, been wanting one of these since I was about 6 and saw it on Mark Founds show! Gave it a clean up and it looks brand new!

Be aware (see my thread Ox Mountain Raily) that they grow!:banghead:

I've just seen your Hebe.. I've bought two of them! Did say they shouldn't grow that tall... I dam hope they don't after seeing yours! The conifers I have aren't meant to grow that tall.

I also have a slow growing one - just clipped it a little recently (first time in 10 years) - I should have bought a lot more of that type. Another little tip - for what it's worth - is I planted them still in their plant pots.

Eventually the tap root will find its way through the pot's drain holes, but it does retard them for quite a while.

Some Hebes seem to grow quite large, whilst others are certainly dwarf and seem to spead laterally.

But there are quite a few on this Forum who are brilliant with plants, etc. Me? I just like to see the results that others achieve!

The tunnel has arrived..! Still a bit of work to get it in place properly, its a tad heavy.. There is 5cm clearance gap between the roof of a Newqida coach and the top of the tunnel, that's adequate I'd say? It can be raised with a lot of hard work if need be.

I doubt a Piko Harz Kamel would fit.

Started building up the hill around the tunnel.. Going to plant conifers around it, as well I'm tempted to get some mind your own business to go on top of the tunnel but I've heard that it become a menace?

MYOB can get a little invasive, but I feel nicely so and not too much. Easily controled and will make a nice base for your Conifers acting as a bit of a Mulch for them.
