Hello!
I was wondering if anyone knew where I could purchase, or how to build, realistic accessories used to run the full scale loco's. I mean accessories such as scale shovels, buckets, head lamps?
I would give making them ago a try too if anyone has any advice on this?

Regards

Daniel

Bachmann have an accessory kit of bits and pieces that could be found on a loco.

Forget that idea they would melt.

I have some of those dotted around some of my locos... Mind you don't put them anywhere directly REALLY hot i.e. on the smokebox etc, as whitemetal will melt on those kind of places.

Brandbright do something that may be useful, on main menu select Accesories, then Engine scroll down a bit - they are made of cast brass so won't melt as easily as the whitemetal stuff.

GRS also have a large stock of tools etc., mostly in whitemetal. Also Steve at Back2Bay6 stocks such things. That's where I've got most of the small accesories for my engine shed diorama (look into the actual shed).
