Raspberry Pi Zero Controlling Things

John, where is the code you show the picture for:(??

For those unfamiliar with the NodeMCU "Motor Controller", that John shows in the top of his picture, its particularly useful device for modellers, as the rows of pins you can see are all "V+,Ground, I/O pin", and so can take (and drive) a standard servo plug, or be used with a Hall effect transistor as a track sensor. As standard, the V+ is only 3.3V, but I found a very simple hack to make the pins 5V, so they will work normal servos.
 
Well that is a hell of a lot to digest better have my heartburn tablets handy ;) ;)

Have a new HDD on order will give this a go.

Explanation of how one edits cmdline.txt please, if it is by using nano can I substitute 'Leafpad" as I can drive it but nano is just magician stuff to me.
 
New HDD on its way so waiting to give it a go.
I guess I'll have to learn Nano then.
What does inserting "text" before "splash' actually do?

The RPi boot process is turo charged ( compare it with the lame and ever so sloooowwwww Windows 10 booting process!) as it is just too quick for an external HDD to spring into action, inserting the word "text" after rootwait slows the RPi down by around six seconds, a modern day HDD can usually spring into life after around two seconds, older models of HDD need a little extra help.

OK I have seen similar suggestion something along the lines of "wait =6" if I remember correctly which is not a good indication.

That is probably why my old HDD from the steam driven era just kept failing, hence the new HDD on its way.
