Radio control

OK, I’m going to bite the bullet and have a go. I’ve just had a frustrating 30 minutes trying to get my track powered trains to run, so it’s got to be done!

Everything you ever wanted to know about the subject at hand.

If you run into problems at the first hurdle be happy to help out if I can. Have PM’d my phone number.

I've done a few conversions over the years and blogger how I did them ....

Phil's the Main Man:

I have done over a dozen battery/RC conversions over a similar number of years, most recently with masses of support from Phil with some tricky historical issues that he has always managed to resolve professionally and speedily.

Have no interest in his business.

Just been looking at a YouTube vid of a HO locomotive battery installation. Though a smaller scale much of the implementation with different bits x say Fosworks/Deltang is pretty much the same. Though this one has an interesting slant with the DCC System doing Battery Charging. Well worth a look.
He also lists the 5 options that he looked at in USA and some of these will certainly provide Rx suitable for our sizes. Appologies unadulterated screen dumps from the vid to show the suppliers.

The companies mentioned all have good reputations and can add sound if needed. One not mentioned is LocoControl in Scotland at LocoControl. They advertise that they do battery/radio control conversions.
