I really do like that viaduct and the shot of the train silhouetted against the sky is just fantastic.

I think its my favourite shot of the railway so far too, Nigel

a visit by James [midwalesstokie] last weekend on a very wet day, with his excellent Locobox Garratt

the central boiler section of the Garratt is very low, and with the overhang around the corners, necessitated some topographical adjustments with a lumphammer

the Garratt is an impressive beastie, pulled well up the Gradients, and looked the part on the Highland extension

Thanks for the pictures Paul. I bought my camera with me but I forgot to take any photos! Thanks again for letting me play trains and to Chris for the excellent cakes. Next time I'll bring Countess and a few Pickerings.

no probs James - it was good to see you again, and have the excuse to play, and see different stock on the track
the Llanfair contingent would be very welcome next time

Russell out on a trial run after some repairs, leaky pipe junction to steam chest
