Now that´s good. Makes me almost regret taking things inside ....
 
believe it or not, first run of the year
bit of tidying up , and it ran fine, apart from one set of points which still needs its guides fitted, and one loading gauge limitation attended to with a lumphammer

after a poor Summer, finally got the next stage completed, with a down return from the Highland extension allowing through running around the old main line and back up the extension without having to run around the train.
also connection to the new shed, and realigning the steam up sidings
this entailed building a retaining wall, which I did myself, with a raised bed behind to include the track changes

I got a builder to lay the patio slabs, to get the levels and drainage right. I know my limits

a few good running sessions over the w/e to iron out teething problems, and some more landscaping, no photos as yet, but will follow, weather allowing
 
That is brilliant. the wall, the junction and the shed developments. Well done. at some point can you do a onboard view video of the whole system?
 
Excellent work, Paul - the wall looks impressive, and the shed looks like a nice den should Christine boot you out of the house....

Looking forward to seeing pictures of the line in action.

its been ages since i've done a lot on the railway. it feels good
Ian - I'm rubbish with video, though its something I do think about
John - you're quite right, she thinks I'm half soaked as it is - need 230v AC in there for a fridge though
videoing wouldn't improve her opinion of my sanity either !
