Its interesting to have those loops in an environment that ist NOT as steep as the Alps.
Often enough the really difficult railways were built in the "mid-highlands" like in Germany the "schwäbische Alb", the "Black Forest" or the "Harz" (well known to LGB-friends).
Must be a grat fun to run trains there......i think i´ll try one or two too today...![]()
