Found this in my shed, Think its an isolating valve off the air analysis system, used to turn off the gas in the back of an old ex BT optic cable line van I used to have.

recon it would look like a load on its way to a water/ sewage pumping station, modern type, any experts on here like to comment??

EDIT:- Strange forum would not let me add pic to post, box came up blank white no text, looks like it might work now as an edit

I'm no expert on pumps and valves Don but I reckon if you pop some straps or chains on that it would make and interesting load of summatorother

Yes, the bracket looks a bit like the impellor casing (volute) of a centrifugal pump. I like the handwheel idea Don.

The triangular sign means biohazard . It is used for people with no common sense, or indeed no sense of smell !At what period of history they came in I do not know , but they were certainly used in the NHS in 1988 when I started there.
Cheers Garry

Puggsie? That's a new one, are you trying to get round me you old devil, you?
The answer above is correct, it means a biologically hazardous material, as opposed to nuclear (three triangles) or chemical load that is hazardous. I used the irritant material as an avatar when, I'm, er, irritating.
Best ask Mel, and ask him for that shot of the respiratory gear.
