So.... can someone explain these to me please. I am looking at this system but seem to be getting a lot of different prices all over the net and at the moment cannot make head nor tail out of any of it. Will these systems control the trains and points? Do they only need a single decoder in the train or do they need a receiver like some of the 2.4GHz systems around?

The prodigy wireless system, works just the same as any other wireless system, you dont ned any other bits i the locos just s decoder, the wireless is just a communication between central station & Hand held controller.

Re the prodigy itself I bought one for use on a smaller scale layout, and I did not really like it, eventually I replaced ti with a Lenz system.

I have also tried other Than MTS & Massoth with G scale, and whilst all seem to work OK (even the £39 Bachmann EZ DCC system from HATTONS Liverpool) I always revert to MTS/Massoth!
