My LGB Loco Remote (55016) has developed a problem when working in wireless mode. Previously the batteries lasted for several months before needing changing. Now they only last a couple of weeks with only very moderate use. I have used another identical handset and the same problem occurs. Both handsets work fine in wired mode. Any ideas why the batteries (Duracell) drain so quickly?

could it be, that the crome strip that the batteries are pushed up against is dull/matted..this can cause problems ...a quick clean off the crome to shinny. helps..
