Hi All,
Wonder if anyone can help me. I have tried to place an advert in the for sale section, I have described what I am selling, price etc but every time I submit the ad I get the message you must create a sale.

Many Thanks Alan.

I haven't ever done this, but I remember somebody saying something about a box top right for the price - 'tis a newish feature :nod:

Hi all, more puzzled now, have put price in box, ticked item for sale box etc, now getting message I must set a price which I have done.

Did you put the price in the box towards the bottom of the screen? - I had to scroll-down to get to this.

PS MODS: Please delete my item for sale, I can no longer find it! ;)

If you try to have more than one item in the listing there is no provision for more than one price, Are we supposed to put the total in the box, or just the one, or the postage cost as has recently been done? The layout of the posting has a 'buy now' button which if working could cause problems if the value box is not correct. The previous format was much less restrictive.

I note Phil's LGB collection does not have a price or buy now flag at the top right. ????????????????

I must say that I couldn't see any real problems with the old "free form" system of posting things for sale, either. Sure, now and then people posted stuff there without reading the (pretty simple) rules first - for example not including a photo, or a price - but they were usually corrected very quickly by Mods or other members when that happened, and no harm was done.
I can't help feeling that the new system - which I admit I haven't tried to use yet - is really a "solution" to a problem that didn't actually exist.....? :wondering:

I agree, but when Paul updated the software, this improvement was (I assume) another 'unintended consequence'?

Guys, I'm not seeing any issues with the sales section, works perfectly and very easy to use.

James is using an Apple with iOS and Mobile Safari 12.1.1, wonder if this combination is totally compatible with the Forum Software?
I was having the same problems as James a few nights ago. For some unknown reason everything worked OK today. I'm on winders 10 and edge if anyone's interested.

Thank you everyone for your advice, it is much appreciated. I have now decided not to use the for sale forum, it is too much aggravation, shame as it used to work well.

Regards Alan.
