I have just prepared a set of points for installation outside which I thought might be of interest to some of us. I have been using this approach for a few years now (previously with older point motors) and it holds up very well, three years outside and still very solid allowing very slow DCC operation on all areas of the layout.
Set the depth
A drop of oil and a hand tap
Tapped holes!
Oops it happens sometimes but there is plenty of brass to make a solid screw connection
Stainless Screws in
A drop of conductive grease on everything and Finished!
