Post duplication

Yesterday and this morning when quoting a post I got an "opps error" message, and then found my post duplicated. Reading the posts this morning it would seem a few others having the same problem with dunnyrail dunnyrail having 4 posts the same (quadrupled).

I think it needs 'turning off, and turning back on again'?

I got the "oops error" message this a.m. but I ignored it (rather than trying to post again) and found my post had been saved and with no duplicates.

This happened to the post I just posted above. I also notice if you go back to the thread, your post is still in the "post reply" window. I don't know if this will help admin isolate the problem. This is from an Android smartphone.

Mine from an iPad so likely a server issue. Morning never the best time for these bits of ‘fun functionality’ to occur as not being fully awake or aware post gets hit a few times before reality kicks in.

Reality!

Who wants to deal with that, first thing in the morning?

I have found the issue with both iPad and PC, and both new replies and "reply to" posts, and seems to be quite random. However as mentioned you ignore the "opps error etc." message you have a single entry, however your message is still in the "reply box" as well.

I just click the message off and my post or reaction is saved. I use a desktop PC.

Just got the "oop's something gone wrong, come back later", alert with a post in my "I do not believe it !" topic However, checked "what's new" and there was my post listed. Went back to the topic page and there is my post live and below it is still the "unposted" draft. So I hit the delete button and erased back to the beginning of the draft to make sure nothing is left to accidentally get posted. I am using a Samsung Android tablet (and similar Motorola phone). I also have a Windows 10 laptop. All use Chrome browsers. I do not own a fancy i whatnot :D Max.

Edit - It' happened with this post too ! But not with this edit.

Same here just now. On my other forum there's a delete button for your own posts. A useful feature, not just for duplicates but also for those "Did I really mean to put it like that?" moments.
