The little yellow work train has always been one of my favorite locos due to the fact it has lots of moving parts :) however being Playmobil it is lacking in detail. So I have been trying to find which train it was based on so I can kit bash something from bits I have lying about. After a little Googling I have found the MUV 69 http://tratovestroje.wbs.cz/motorove_voziky/MUV_69/MUV_69.912_original.jpg < Link To http://tratovestroje.wbs.cz/motorove_voziky/MUV_69/MUV_69.912_original.jpg < Link To http://tratovestroje.wbs....UV_69.912_original.jpg and MV 73 http://tratovestroje.wbs.cz/motorove_voziky/MV_79/008/DSCF2017_original.jpg < Link To http://tratovestroje.wbs.cz/motorove_voziky/MV_79/008/DSCF2017_original.jpg < Link To http://tratovestroje.wbs..../DSCF2017_original.jpg which are both from Czech Republic and Slovakia which look similar. So my question is does anyone know which train it is based on or trains which are similar that I can use for ideas?

Thanks

Yeah, I love the little Playmobil unit too. Took me a while to locate a good condition example at a fair price, but as soon as I did it was DCC fitted and put to work.
Whilst I doubt the Playmobil is an accurate model of a particular prototype, there's no doubt it must have been inspired by maintenance units such as those you've found and things like these two: One's from http://www.railfaneurope.net/pix/dk/work/Trolje120_Kbh20060328_M.jpg < Link To www.railfaneurope.net (I use that site a lot for photos of stock), the other's from http://www.zeigedeinebilder.de/name...museum--bochum-dalhausen--arbeitszug-678.html < Link To www.zeigedeinebilder.de
