plasticard bending

How do you bend plasticard sheet. I tried using the wifes heat gun over a piece of copper tube and whilst it worked, it's not great. Any tips?

I bodged together this jig for bending a roof recently. I left the card in their for about 15 hours, but a bit of heat would probably speed things up. Main thing is, it worked.

tape to item with a similar curve and put it in hot water or steam it with the kettle wear gloves!!

Thanks for those ideas. I think it will be the hot water then bend as I am trying to make some mine tippers. I'll let you know how I get on.

I believe at least one Centralist uses a microwave successfully.

That'd be Mike for his delux Rustlers menu;)

I settled on a paint stripper and a piece of scrap wood as a former, I did try all the other ideas but hot water I found was annoying the work area gets wet and the heat goes very quick. The Oven or Mirowave heated the whole work and bends were starting where I didn't want them.
Best advice take your time, bend slowly and keep checking.

I ended up with quite a lot of scrap, but hey plasticard is cheap!

My best results are always when I can build a plastic skeleton under the curve. But patience I think is the best tool.
