piko shunter

Hi,

does anyone know if the Piko 0-6-0 diesel shunter come with buffer beams with center buffers? Also has anyone got one and are they any good?

I think Mel's got one, but he's been exiled to the deep south for a few days, away from his photos I should think.

I think it comes with both options, either a centre buffer or buffers either side.

The 218 diesel definitely has this option as does the BR80 steam loco....

No, fraid not. Peter (Whatlep) has/had one though which I was imprssed with once he had done some work on the valve gear.

Yes they do. They are pretty good runners, but do need the wheels kept clean.

Yes they do replaced the piko centre buffer with the LGB oval type you know the ones with the white paint round the edge Do not be temped to pick the loco up by the centre cab you will push all the glazing in and it is a devil to get the roof of to refix it . How do I know ?
