Is anyone familiar with this Piko sound kit ? BR80 STEAM SOUND KIT, ANALOG! MINT! 36194
I'd like to know alittle bit more about the chuff rate, not to mention anything else that would be helpful.

Another question then. Would I be safe in the presumption that the sound unit operates on track power ? It's the analog version.
I believe I just found some answers to my questions. "Shourt Line by Soft Works Ltd.", has a complete instruction manual on their site. One particular instruction indicates that Pulse Width Modulation should not be used as the power supply for the sound unit. G Scale graphics Railboss products use PWM, so that makes my decision easier. Don't buy it.:holdon:

I am finding a fair bit of 'analogue' circuitry does not like PWM divided voltages..
If you use the 'divider' CV's to 'step down' the function outputs on Massoth kit, it is a form of PWM that comes out the function output.
I have had to add small electrolytics, as smoothing, to get some things to work properly.
