It say - INPUT 18/24 volts, so I dont think a plug will be much use.

Does anyone know when this product is due to come out? Also does it come with power lead and plug, or does that have to be bought seperate?
Seems very cheap compared to LGB's efforts, but then again so does everything else of comparison.

From what I just read on Jeremy's link, you have to have a separate transformer as the input is either 18V AC or 24V DC.

It looks like you could also need to buy the Weather Resistant Power Supply Piko Number 35000 at £89.95 to run this, if you do not have a suitable alternative.

(N.B. If it was a mains powered item, it would have to have a lead and plug by EU law.)

[align=center]A quick fix would be to take one motor brick out of each loco, or both from the FA's, a twin motored loc will shift a suprising amount and six motors is looking at 60 plus boxcars, and nearly ten amps!Standard wheels will then fit in the axle bearings, and you will have lots of spare bricks for scratchbuilding/spares

My ABBA set has four motors and shifts everything I own making forty waggons and ten coaches plus power in reserve, draws four amps, at start, the total train length is in excess of eighty feet and is longer than my garden is wide

the second pic is a truck with the motor brick removed its a 44 tonner but the technology is the same, this shows the new pick ups made.

on the subjuct of power supplies for analog , hve you thought about using a decent quality unit like H&Morgan, they make much better than lgb and are secondhand on the bay fro reasonable sums and the larger for Ogauge have bags of power.
