Brilliant, I missed the Victorian style train on Anglia Roads, I really hope it wasn't that one that took a dive! I also like the red rail car, anyone know anything about it?

I think that this is the one that appeared in one of Casey's CFR pictures a little while ago. The consensus then was that it is a Swift Sixteen bogie coach body, with a roof including a clerestory and (obviously) motorised in some way

Cheers

Thanks very much for putting that on. It's good to get a flavour of what was moving seed.

Not sure what happened to the above. I was saying thanks for giving a flavour of what was missed by those who couldn't go.

It is the same one David.
The railcard is powered by two motorised bogies:-

It is a very fine Railcar and gets me enthused every time I see it, from what I can tell it does not have sound which is a great pity. I have a part built coach with a Clerestry Roof that has been kicking around in a box for years, when into Irish 3ft back in the late 90’s it was slated to be a West Clare Saloon, but now well......

I was just going to ask why a Railcar(d) needed two powered bogies, but then I realized it was pulling quite a train of logs.

Yeah, I recognised Casey's railcar :)

The London Underground train was interesting, would like to know more.

Especially liked the Isle of Man (ex- Donegal) pair of railcars :clap::clap:

and who was running the SR Class 91s? and what make were they?

Evening all. Safely ensconced outside High Wycombe after a 1a.m. start this morning. One ferry journey and then an eight hour run down from Scotland. The weather was variable with some heavy downpours, but the traffic was light enough. We're fed and watered and after the match it will be heads down. Beckonscot Model Village tomorrow morning and then on to our daughter's house. I was going to go to GRS, which we passed close to but I just wanted to get out of the car.
Take care.

I haven't been there for nearly 50 years, but it was a great afternoon out for us as children when, on the odd occasion, my father managed to borrow a car for a Saturday afternoon :nod:

It wasn't until I was about 8 or 9 that he was given a company car and, despite working for a major Ford main dealership with two garages, he was given a second hand Morris Oxford traveler (woody). His next company car was a Ford; the original Ford Escort
