I don't know the story behind your photo editing woes, so I cannot comment on a remedy. I have a desk top MAC and an Apple smart phone, both miles ahead of me in smarts. As I take photos and video with the phone, they automatically appear on the computer, well the photos do. I have to connect the phone with the USB cable to upload videos.

Once the photos are on the computer, I can edit them rather easily. Believe me, it has to be simple to do if I can do it. I've never had to resize any photos when posting them here or on Ebay. That wasn't always the case however. Before the iPhone and MAC, I used a Kodak Easy Share cameras and an HP computer. Back then I had to do a bit more work to do before I could use the photos anywhere.

I'll be 75 by then and probably will be in the garden every day (always promised SWMBO I would get it sorted - even now she suggests converting the greenhouse into a storage shed as I don't grow anything in it) as I might have stopped taking the trailer to shows. Need to double the order!

Then on the 17th it was the turn of the track powered Critter - I figured that the 2-axle loco would prove the electrical conductivity. It did! Still the odd fishplate that needs tweaking..

I just thought I'd try to run something every day if I could (as long as it doesn't get to needing a lifebelt or brazing torch). I keep finding things I'd forgotten about or stuff that really needs some TLC!

Running something every day is a small challenge (trying to ring the changes), but it gets be out of the house!

Do you have many problems with track power at those fierce latitudes? Here I get dust splattered everywhere every time it rains.

I have seen bigger hills in Yorkshire - but the Ox Mountains are a rugged range stretching to County Sligo. We're only 33metres above sea level here, but the mountains cause plenty of rain which is blown in from the Atlantic.
Most of the track problems are caused by lack of use I think - in a 'normal' year, the garden line is rarely used except for testing new purchases or my repairs. So 2017 is the year for running in the garden!

Dust seems to come from nowhere despite the boggy nature of the land!

I am a Navy Seabee, well that was a long time ago. Construction Battalions came to be known as Seabees. Get the drift ? C B didn't stand for construction battalions in the eyes of the army or marines, rather Confused Bastards. So I've had this state of mind for quite some time.

Its the memory portion of the brain that's my problem! But I still have a sense of humour - CBs that made I laugh!

Well, seem to have Win10 problems or something (tethered mouse won't show cursor but other functions work).
Some more pics from Friday and Saturday ....



Cursor now working - and I didn't say any prayers. There was a guy outside (as the upper deck was called in those days) but he must have been so shook up by the erratic performance of the Dummy, he took a dive for the floor.

Then the supervisor took over, and a contemporary electric car was introduced to the route and improved the service no end.


The motorman has the handbrake ready to screw on if the supervisor jumps down ...



Then Saturday turned out to be sunny, but cold, again. There was no frost when I let the supervisor and her chief inspector colleague out - but like 'the darkest hour is before the dawn', so it was with the frost. Only patchy as it must have been very dry, the temperature remained at, or around freezing!

So I thought I'd try my Steeple Cab. As some tramways ran these (Leeds, Blackpool, Burnley, et al, I built it as something that was tramway orientated. It hadn't operated for some years so was a little temperamental ...






I'll see what today brings - wifey thinks I ought to wear gloves but I explain to her that it is very difficult to pick .........

The Supervisor looks to be thinking, if not saying, "Surely you've other things to be doing than bothering me?" (I liked the shot earlier in the week with her on top of the control house.)
