I'm really frightfully impressed.... Maybe you need a dedicated tramline?? with overhead??

Trev - if you look at the second pic, there is a light green traction pole lying between the track (uprooted to test the geometry of the track). It would have been an anchor pole for the line coming in from the left. But I have a cunning plan (if I live long enough or the weather improves over the next few months:rofl:). I like trams.

Its been a cold afternoon but dry so I had a go with altering the track. The light was fading when I took the pics but the gist of it is that I now have the original line usable (at least when the feed wires are connected to the high level line) and one more point needs to be inserted. I now have the future alignment for the bridges - and further away from the tree than I originally planned ...

Thanks Peter - tried them out - after inserting the last point (a stainless steel Aristo which was poor as a facing point but no problems trailing). Certainly noisy! All track is now live again. I think I will do some slight alterations to the points and crossing for the H/L line - enlarge the vacant lot created by the track removals.

Here's a some pics. Usual caveat for the pics - blame the bloke holding the camera:rofl:

Well the weather has slowed things down a lot but, in between the showers, I managed to alter my altered trackwork.

As it was a week ago ....

I've inserted two 100mm sections in each of the diverging tracks to give more space for a future station. Access to the high level section is now 50mm nearer the precipice!

Now - with vacant building lot ....

Also made the bridge abutment for the third of my bridges (as yet unbuilt).

Heading in the right direction at least.

Wow! that's getting to be some serious layout, Mick. Any chance of a track-plan to help visualise how all those scenes link up? Nice to see the Paycar out on the line, working for its living.

Hi Giles, thanks for your kind words. I'll have to re-draw my track plan. When I eventually break free from the existing layout it opens up all sorts of possibilities.
Off to the workshop now to convert some firewood into the other bridge abutment!

Pretty cold today but managed to frame up the second abutment. Need to cover with ply and prime it then its on with the third bridge build (at zero cost virtually!).

I drew up a rough track plan - split it into to two (existing and intended) ...
