Thanks all who made it and risked the forecast- it turned out very well- in fact some of the fairer skinned of us were even starting to go a little pink by the end of the afternoon.

Some of the usual suspects arrived on Friday evening- and we ran some of my old stuff through the pouring rain, while sitting in the back room with fish and chips!

We then had a great day Saturday. In keeping with the Cogges philosophy there was a very broad spectrum of stuff running and fun was had by all.

Max's lovely live steam Shay waits at Grapevine Siding for its train to arrive;

Max's Garratt basks in the sun in front of Cogges Signal box after hauling a heavy coal train

Dave's super "BR" conversion of a Playmobil loco awaits a path on the mainline with its train of Brandbright tubs

Mel's beautiful hand built train of aircraft parts- to repair a pranged training aircraft at near by Brize Norton- passes the Cogges' box on the mainline

My bashed "toy train" hauls the Brandbright tubs

Colin's lovely little Frank S loco with its train of Piko coaches looks very pretty at Toby Siding.

Maxes smooth running DC powered Climax hauls the coal hoppers.

Dave's Rail Freight wagons bask in the afternoon sun at grapevine siding not going anywhere. We all agreed that we remembered they did more of this than we did see them in any trains!

My 66 shows it's pulling power with 11 bogie hoppers and 12 oil tanks in tow...

Great photos Ian. As said before..shame that I wasn't able to make it but it looks like you had a goodly time.

I am soooo envious of Max's live steam shay................

Thanks Mike- shame you couldn't make it. The shay ran very smoothly with a decent train on. Frustratingly the video keeps failing when i try and upload to youtube.

Nice selection of motive power - and sunshine too! The video is great and, as commented therein, the Garratt, looks impressive and running at a realistic speed as well.

Great set of photo's Ian do like the look of the live steam Garret , sorry I was unable to join you all this time just not enough week ends in a year . Your line is looking very nice Ian a credit to you. ;D

Looks like you all had a very nice day. The "66" is one huge loco!

Lovey time Visiting Ian,

Thanks for the nice pic's a lot better than the few I got. Surprisingly no pictures of any mishaps. (Colin must be slipping)
