Visited a magical Open Day today, met up with some 16mm Society Guys not seen for a while, host well known to me as well. Even our own Max was present. So in the best of tradition some Pictures cos I know you all like Pictures.

Max was running this rather nice US Jobey with his impresive Work Train. He even stopped it for me on the last picture. On the right is a Roundhouse Silver Lady in Maroon.

My Jack got a turn with some LGB Wagons Bunker first, the only Bunker First working of the day.image.jpeg
Stanley also got a turn in with the same Train.image.jpeg image.jpeg
The Coffee Stirer Express was Station Pilot all day carrying out quite a few complex Shunts and recovery Operations after Locomotives ran out of Steam on the Main Line.image.jpeg
Then as most people had left Flash Gordon put in an appearance in his Rocket Ship.image.jpeg image.jpeg
Finally when all but myself had gone the Host decided it was prudent to run his very nice docile Accucraft German 0-10-0t. What a superb beast this was.image.jpeg
Sadly I missed many other pictures of Dajeelings and Single Fairlees etc. Next time perhaps.

Oh - I do like that VIK

Nice to see you again Jon. Thankfully you have suitably cropped that picture, I likes me US stuff. It was the usual busy and convivial gathering at Alan's superbly engineered line. Not to mention Carol's lovingly tended garden setting and catering. Alan does like his Saxonians. A clue as to why this is a 45 mm/code 332 line ?
