One wheel on my loco.....??

Dunno what you guys are complaining about, looking at his other items, and assuming you aren't outbid, for a mere £49.95 plus shipping you can get enough to build an 0-5-0, as long as you provide your own axles, gearbox, motor, and in fact the whole of the rest of the loco.

Ebay never ceases to amaze me, both what people will try for, and what buyers will sometimes pay for no apparent reason - only a couple of weeks ago someone listed half a dozen sets of accucraft wagon wheels, they all went for more than new, and all but one went for nearly double. US ebay seems to do a special line in people who pay a couple of hundred dollars for dead big haulers, but presumably don't won't the new working 'annies' that sell for less.

Of course, if I list anything with a 99p start, guess how much money I make....

I was interested in these.
Placed a max bid 50p less than Brandbright charge for new and was way outbid, as you say.
Amazing.

Could be the start of an 0-1-0 project - One rail Indian Railway

Do you mean the one being modelled (in N gauge, incidentally) here? The flanged wheel is on the far side of the loco, so that's just one matching cartwheel to find, then. Seriously, what was the advantage of that kind of monorail?

Its got to be better than the Lartigue mono rail!

The seller of those wheels isn't on his own in breaking components down to basics - buy a loaf of bread in easily assembled components - first the wrapper, then the adhesive sealing tape, then the crusts, then the slices. I just cannot imagine how some sellers think.
