We had a German Military exchange Officer called Captain Wanke once.

Of course you know what I called him?

And the snow scenes at the start of part 3 Herr Franz Grunds layout in Schnaittach near Nurnberg . The viaduct is supposed to be Landwasser and as the garden drops away the back of the viaduct must be 8 feet tall. The rock it dissapears through weighs about 5tons I think. He had or LGB had it brought in specially because LGB used it as a show track. We were luck enough to see it in July 2006

All Wanke jokes aside, that Mallet is lovely - I assume it's a scratchbuild/conversion? Anyone know anything about it?
